Brutus Gold's Love Train.

In the summer of 1989, a restaurateur in the North East of England noticed a bright yellow glint in a large block of frozen Atlantic prawn. After chipping at the ice, he found it was a gold medallion...

It didn’t stop there – soon he had pulled from the ice the sleeping form of a man previously thought legend: Brutus Gold, Puerto Rican Disc Jockey and Disco Gigolo, missing for ten years – but how did he end up in a block of ice? It seems that a decade earlier, the janitor at Fernando’s Dancing Palace, San Juan, had turned up the air conditioning to full power during DISCO INFERNO, this had combined with the large amount of dry ice in the room to freeze the whole disco in suspended animation.

More recently, with the onset of global warming, the club began to thaw, floated out to sea then started to break up. Once rescued and warmed through with a large Bacardi, and still somewhat disorientated, Brutus asked for the first three things that came to mind: A couple of chicks, his record collection and his dodge charger 440 RT Magnum (found in a local frozen food warehouse). His audience were picked up days later by the crew of a Spanish trawler, having been kept afloat since thawing out by the air in their platform shoes, albeit up side down. Soon reunited but stuck in a timewarp of fashion, music and aftershave, Brutus Gold and his disco friends began to travel the world with one aim… To reinstate d.i.s.c.o to its rightful place – THE DANCEFLOOR!
